Sterling Fitness is an established Personal Training and Sports Coaching company. Based in Canterbury and covering the surrounding areas, we aim to help as many people as possible to improve their health and work towards fitness goals, whilst making positive, permanent lifestyle changes. Our ethos is that training should be enjoyable and effective, be it in or outside of the gym, and that fitness is for absolutely everyone, no matter what the budget, resources, weight, fitness or lifestyle.
Sterling Fitness moved to Canterbury early in 2018, and from then we have established a loyal client base and helped hundreds of fantastic people to fall in love with a fit and healthy lifestyle, and that number continues to grow!
How did it all start?
Sam Sterling is a semi professional rugby player and therefore fitness was always going to be of huge interest for him. Coming over to the UK from Ireland to play rugby here, Sam quickly got his Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification with Premier Global in order to start Sterling Fitness. Having experienced many different coaching styles himself whilst playing for various rugby teams including his current position at Canterbury Rugby, Sam has picked up a vast amount of knowledge outside the scope of his qualification which also allows him to specialise in Strength and Conditioning. He has trained a variety of people from all walks of life, all with different abilities and goals, helping him to gain essential experience as a Personal Trainer. As well as being a PT, Sam also holds his Level 2 Rugby Coaching qualification and coaches a number of younger aspiring rugby players.
In 2018, Josie Fuller joined the team who also holds her Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification from Train Fitness International. Josie does all of the social media and behind the scenes work to keep the business running and also provides Online Personal Training and Programming.
Within Sterling Fitness, our trainers have a huge depth of knowledge, but more importantly a passion for health and fitness. We strongly believe in positive and enjoyable training, but also only work with evidence based methods that are proven to be effective and sustainable. Our trainers are always learning and keeping up to date with the latest studies to continue to evolve Sterling Fitness and their personal knowledge. If you are looking for a quick fix and immediate results no matter what the cost, Sterling Fitness is not for you. However if you are looking for qualified, experienced trainers who love what they do and are passionate about motivating and helping people, then we may be the trainers for you.
